The good news is that my eyelid is practically back to normal, I own a pair of fingerless gloves once again, I got my first essay back with a mark of 65 (which sounds terrible, but is a solid 2A at Imperial), and I am currently sitting next to Rikki in the SAC.
The bad news is that this isn't romantic at all, because Rikki's doing more boring finance stuff. I'm just keeping him company until the chocolate party at seven; as I keep saying to him, things could be worse.
I drank a large glass of slightly coagulated strawberry milk earlier- yes, it was the same bottle as last week- but have yet to suffer any ill-effects. Perhaps chocolate digestives do have some beneficial effect, as their name would indicate.
Also, the mere three hours of sleep I had last night don't appear to be impairing my functioning. OK, I nearly fell asleep during my lectures this morning, but that always happens. It's not my fault the lecture theatre is so soporific, being warm and dimly-lit.
